FP&A Manager (life science sector)

A leading life science organisation in Ho Chi Minh City is seeking a FP&A Manager to join their dynamic team in Vietnam. This role will collaborate closely with commercial and functional leaders, providing actionable insights that shape business decisions and accelerate performance.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with the regional teams to ensure that monthly results, forecasts, and annual plans are completed on time and meet submission standards in alignment with regional/global schedules.
• Drive country-level financial performance by analyzing business trends, monitoring both financial and operational KPIs, and providing data-driven recommendations to enhance outcomes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders by facilitating clear communication of financial projections, risks, and opportunities between local teams and regional leadership.
• Direct and oversee monthly processes for evaluating financial performance, including reforecasting, long-term strategic planning, quarterly updates, and the development of the annual operating plan.
• Conduct in-depth financial analyses for routine reporting and ad hoc requests, including profitability reviews, pricing strategies, margin optimization efforts, cost management evaluations, and other critical areas of financial oversight.
• Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely month-end close activities, ensuring P&L statements reflect proper accruals for revenue adjustments, inventory write-offs, and other key expenses.
• Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and implement improvements to streamline processes and promote consistency across operations.
• Assist regional finance teams in preparing budget submissions and meeting deliverables for planning cycles.
• Take part in or lead initiatives at the regional, or global level as needed to support broader organizational goals.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Extensive experience spanning a minimum of 5 years in roles such as FP&A, commercial finance, or strategic financial analysis.
• Exceptional skills in building financial models, creating forecasts, and conducting in-depth analyses.
• Extensive experience with Excel, ERP (SAP, Oracle or similar systems), financial tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively engage and manage diverse stakeholders.
• Adept at working efficiently in high-pressure, complex, and regionally integrated organizational structures.Demonstrated success in shaping business decisions and leading transformative initiatives.
• English proficiency is required.
