PLANT MANAGER Location: Ho Chi Minh City Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Position Summary

We are looking for a Plant Manager to take full responsibility for the overall performance of a manufacturing plant in Ho Chi Minh City. This role leads all plant functions to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operations while delivering business objectives related to cost, quality, delivery, and people development. The Plant Manager plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong safety culture aligned with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations & Performance

  • Lead and coordinate all plant functions to ensure stable, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
  • Define annual operating plans, targets, and KPIs for production, quality, safety, and cost; track performance and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure on-time delivery and high product quality while continuously improving operational efficiency.

EHS, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with EHS regulations, fire prevention requirements, and internal policies.
  • Lead risk assessments, preventive action plans, and regular audits to protect employees, assets, and business continuity.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimisation

  • Lead and deploy World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Lean, or Continuous Improvement programmes across the plant.
  • Drive cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives without compromising safety or quality.
  • Promote data-driven problem solving and root cause analysis to resolve operational issues.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Build a strong leadership team and develop a skilled, engaged, and sustainable workforce.
  • Oversee training, talent development, succession planning, and capability building at all levels.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Planning & Budget Control

  • Manage plant budgets, control operating expenses, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Support medium- and long-term capacity, investment, and resource planning for the plant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or related fields).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in plant management or senior production leadership roles within complex manufacturing environments.
  • Proven hands-on experience with WCM / Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and relevant technical standards (ASTM, TCVN, QCVN).
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience in budget management and cost optimisation.
  • Good command of English for daily communication and reporting.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
