Tooling Manager

A global manufacturer is seeking a Tooling Manager to lead tooling, jig, fixture, plastic injection mould, and stamping die development. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement, optimising manufacturing processes, and ensuring productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end tooling development from design to mass production readiness.
• Manage installation, testing, and qualification of new moulds/dies.
• Align tooling readiness with production schedules and capacity targets.
• Standardise and optimise tooling designs for scalability and performance.
• Prepare annual CAPEX/OPEX budgets for tooling projects.
• Lead pilot runs and industrialisation of alternative manufacturing methods.
• Implement Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in Production Engineering; jewellery manufacturing preferred.
• 5+ years in managerial roles with expertise in mold/die development.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining (EDM/WEDM) and automation machinery.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and PLC/robotics systems.
• Excellent communication skills in Vietnamese and English.
