FACILITY MANAGER Location: Binh Duong Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the opportunity

We’re currently hiring a Facility Manager for a global electronics engineering and manufacturing company with a newly established manufacturing operation in Binh Duong, supporting the company’s expansion in Vietnam.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for plant-wide facilities, utilities, maintenance, infrastructure, projects, and safety, ensuring reliable operations and compliance with Vietnamese regulations and corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall plant-wide facility and maintenance operations, including building systems, utilities, electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, equipment, and shop floor facilities.
• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programmes, ensuring facilities and equipment remain safe, reliable, and operational.
• Manage facility-related projects, contractors, tenders, budgets, and costs, ensuring work is completed to the required standards, timeline, and cost.
• Plan and coordinate facility development, including new premises, space utilisation, infrastructure improvements, and future expansion.
• Lead and coordinate facility/maintenance teams, ensuring technicians are properly trained, equipped, and able to deliver safe and cost-effective maintenance.
• Oversee essential facility services, including security, cleaning, waste disposal, recycling, and other supporting services as required.
• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese occupational safety, environmental, fire prevention and fighting, electricity, and waste management regulations, as well as internal corporate requirements.
• Develop and maintain facility policies, procedures, monitoring systems, records, and safety reports.
• Regularly assess the condition of facilities and equipment, identify potential risks, and take timely corrective action.
• Lead facility-related emergency response and risk management, including fire, flooding, equipment failure, and other urgent situations.
• Liaise with government authorities, contractors, and relevant external parties on facility, safety, environmental, fire prevention, and regulatory matters.
• Support recruitment and development of facility/maintenance personnel and drive continuous improvement across the function.
• Perform other facility-related duties assigned by senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or above.
• 10+ years of technical experience in Mechanical & Electrical / Facility Management, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of building systems, electrical, mechanical, utilities, and facility maintenance.
• Solid knowledge of Vietnamese regulations covering occupational health and safety, fire prevention and fighting, environmental protection, and waste management.
• Experience working with or liaising with relevant Vietnamese government authorities is highly preferred.
• Strong project management, contractor management, and people management capabilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate teams and resolve issues effectively.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in Facility Management, Plant Engineering, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
