What you'll do:

As Supplier Management Manager based in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be responsible for overseeing the qualification process of Asian suppliers while implementing project plans that ensure seamless execution from start to finish. Your day-to-day activities will involve monitoring supplier effectiveness in lean manufacturing processes, verifying product quality against specifications, supervising multiple project development activities across different product areas, and integrating supply chain factors such as forecast accuracy and production capacity. Success in this role requires you to build strong collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external partners. You will provide consultative support to suppliers on best practices in lean manufacturing while coordinating testing procedures with third parties. By proactively identifying areas for improvement within systems or designs—and working together with colleagues—you will help drive operational excellence throughout the supply chain. Your ability to manage complex projects across diverse product categories will be essential as you strive to ensure that all deliverables are met according to strict timelines and quality standards.

  • Develop detailed project timelines for the execution phase of project management, ensuring all milestones are clearly defined and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage appointed Asian suppliers by guiding them through key project schedule milestones such as Product Engineering Testing, Safety Certification Testing, Tooling Manufacturing, Engineering Pilots, Manufacturing Pilots, First Piece, First Articles, and product launch.
  • Evaluate supplier capacity and performance regularly to ensure alignment with demanding company expectations regarding production capability and delivery standards.
  • Establish and maintain required supplier manufacturing processes that consistently meet rigorous organisational standards for quality and efficiency.
  • Drive internal and external process improvements by identifying weaknesses within systems or designs and collaborating with appropriate team members to implement effective solutions.
  • Provide consultative assistance and training to suppliers in developing robust lean manufacturing practices, processes, and philosophies that foster continual improvement.
  • Coordinate all third-party/customer testing activities by sharing results promptly and working diligently with stakeholders to resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers and functional teams to continuously drive improvements across processes, cost management, supplier performance metrics, delivery schedules, and product quality.
  • Perform other technical duties as required to support the overall objectives of the operations department.

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification is required for this position.
  • You bring at least 15 years of post-college working experience within the consumer products industry.
  • Your background includes over 12 years’ experience specifically related to basic manufacturing processes such as sheet metal stamping of complex parts.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin is considered an advantage.
  • You possess factory working experience in grills or other outdoor appliance production environments.
  • Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams demonstrates your commitment to communal success.
  • Holding a PMP certificate would be highly beneficial for this role.
  • You are comfortable travelling across Southeast Asian countries as well as China when required by business needs.
