Product Engineer

Product Engineer Location: Vietnam Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Overview
- A fast-growing product sourcing and manufacturing platform is seeking a Product Engineer to support global brands in developing and scaling consumer products.
- You will act as the bridge between product design and factory execution, owning the end-to-end engineering process: from concept and prototyping to supplier coordination and production launch support.
- The role is highly cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with clients, internal teams, and manufacturing partners to deliver cost-effective, production-ready products.

Key Responsibilities
- Product Development: Support concept development and translate ideas into manufacturable designs
- Design & Engineering: Produce detailed CAD drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Prototyping & Validation: Test and refine prototypes to ensure functionality, safety, and manufacturability
- Supplier Coordination: Work directly with factories to select materials, optimise processes, and control costs
- Production Launch: Oversee early-stage manufacturing to ensure smooth scale-up and quality consistency
- Project Execution: Track timelines, resolve technical issues, and align stakeholders across regions
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure products meet required standards and specifications

Requirements
- Strong CAD and product design capability
- Experience in prototyping and manufacturing processes
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage projects across multiple stakeholders
- Effective English communication skills
- Comfortable working with suppliers and cross-border teams
- Willingness to travel when required

Preferred Background
- Experience in consumer goods, packaging, or product sourcing environments
- Familiarity with materials: plastics, metals, glass, ceramics
- Experience with PS, PP, PE, especially injection or blow moulding
