We're currently supporting our client - a global leader in branded footwear, apparel, and accessories - with the hiring of a Senior Product Technology Specialist - Apparel to join their team in Ho Chi Minh City.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring apparel products are technically ready for bulk production by overseeing fit, construction, grading, quality, and manufacturability from first fit through pre-production approval. Working closely with cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners, you will help deliver high-quality products while driving process improvements and vendor capability.

What you'll do
As a Senior Product Technology Specialist, you will lead the technical development process to ensure products meet design intent, quality standards, and manufacturing requirements before mass production.
• Review garment fit, construction, grading, and workmanship, documenting technical comments in Centric PLM and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout product development.
• Evaluate construction methods and product quality, identify technical risks, recommend testing requirements, and propose practical manufacturing solutions.
• Manage sample development timelines with internal stakeholders and vendors, ensuring all size sets, counter samples, and confirmation samples are delivered and approved on schedule.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues and remove bottlenecks that may impact development timelines.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while contributing to process improvements and best practice initiatives.
• Lead vendor accreditation for fit and pre-production approval, supporting capability development and identifying qualified vendors for delegated approvals.
• Partner with technical, design, sourcing, and product development teams to resolve pattern and size specification issues and ensure products are ready for bulk manufacturing.
• Conduct pre-production meetings to align all stakeholders on technical requirements before production begins.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners, providing recommendations to improve product quality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
• Review and approve fit results, pattern construction, grading, and technical documentation to ensure production readiness.

What you bring
To succeed in this role, you'll combine strong technical apparel knowledge with hands-on garment development experience and the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
• 6–8 years of experience in garment manufacturing or technical product development.
• Hands-on experience in pattern making or grading, ideally with a background as a pattern maker.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, stitch properties, and apparel manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience managing garment fit, sample development, vendor approvals, and production readiness.
• Experience working with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and driving process improvements.
• Proficiency in Centric PLM and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills in English, with experience collaborating across Product Development, Design, Sourcing, Planning, Quality, Costing, and manufacturing teams.
