About the company
We're supporting our client - a global FMCG manufacturing organisation - to identify an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at a large-scale production facility in Ho Chi Minh City. You will be responsible for driving world-class performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People while embedding Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Operational Excellence practices throughout the factory.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational management, focusing on manufacturing performance, equipment reliability, continuous improvement and capability building.

Manufacturing Performance
• Lead manufacturing operations to deliver annual production plans and achieve SQCDM (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale) targets.
• Drive improvements in OEE, MTBF, productivity, manufacturing cost and waste reduction through effective resource planning.
• Ensure stable and efficient production flow while meeting business performance objectives.

Operational Excellence & Autonomous Maintenance
• Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) across all production areas.
• Drive best practices including Clean, Inspection & Lubrication (CIL), Defect Handling (DH), Centreline Management (CL) and Equipment Ownership.
• Establish visual management systems and operational standards to maintain equipment reliability and minimise manufacturing losses.

Continuous Improvement
• Lead Lean, TPM and Operational Excellence initiatives to improve manufacturing performance.
• Identify and eliminate chronic production losses through structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Deliver sustainable productivity, quality and cost improvement projects.

Leadership & People Development
• Build a culture of accountability, equipment ownership and continuous improvement across manufacturing teams.
• Coach and develop operators, technicians and production leaders through structured capability development, qualification programmes and succession planning.
• Lead by example through regular shop-floor engagement and a "Learn – Do –Teach" leadership approach. Cross-functional Collaboration
• Partner with Engineering, Technical Services, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain and HR to support operational excellence.
• Monitor manufacturing and people KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement across safety, quality, productivity and workforce capability.

What you bring
Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a production leadership role.
• Experience within FMCG, Food & Beverage, Tobacco, Pharmaceutical or Automotive manufacturing.

Technical Expertise
• Strong knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Proven experience implementing Autonomous Maintenance programmes and equipment ownership practices.
• Hands-on experience with Root Cause Analysis, Why-Why Analysis, PDCA and data-driven problem solving.
• Strong understanding of workforce planning, productivity improvement, manufacturing cost control and resource optimisation.
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Project and Microsoft Office.

Communication
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
