HEAD OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT (local Vietnamese only) Location: Binh Duong, frequent travelling required Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the opportunity

We're hiring for a leading manufacturer and exporter of home and lifestyle products, serving major international retailers.

We are looking for a Head of Project Management to connect Production, Sales, QA, and international customers, taking ownership of orders from initial validation through production and shipment.

This is a key leadership role for someone who combines manufacturing knowledge, strong project/order management, analytical thinking, and excellent English communication. You will lead a team of project specialists, improve order management processes, and ensure production and customer commitments are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end order management

  • Oversee orders from initial validation through production and shipment, ensuring key milestones are met.
  • Develop SOPs, trackers, and reporting tools to monitor order progress and identify risks early.
  • Assess potential delays, production bottlenecks, and capacity constraints, and coordinate timely solutions.
  • Set up and maintain product programmes on major customer portals.

Cross-functional leadership

  • Lead Order Validation and other key meetings with Production, Sales, QA, and relevant teams.
  • Evaluate manufacturing feasibility, capacity, lead times, and potential risks before accepting orders.
  • Coordinate corrective actions and escalate critical issues to management when required.
  • Drive process improvements that strengthen efficiency and on-time delivery.

International customer management

  • Act as a key point of contact for major international retail customers.
  • Communicate clearly on production capacity, lead times, quality issues, corrective actions, and order status.
  • Translate complex manufacturing information into clear, structured reports and data for customers.

People leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–5 project/order management professionals.
  • Build a culture of accountability, accuracy, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Develop scalable processes as the function and business continue to grow.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in manufacturing, supply chain, project management, order management, or a related environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations; experience with timber, furniture, handicraft, ceramic, or similar products is highly relevant.
  • Hands-on experience managing Tier-1 international retail customers.
  • Experience with retailer compliance requirements, customer portals, order management, and lead-time expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a small team.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively across factory teams, management, and international customers.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis/modelling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex manufacturing data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment.

Why join?

This is a high-impact management position with significant influence over how the company's project and order management function operates.

For the right candidate, the role offers the opportunity to:

  • Work directly with senior leadership and major international retailers.
  • Build and improve processes across a growing project management function.
  • Lead and develop a dedicated team.
  • Take on broader leadership responsibilities as the business continues to grow.
