Country Manager – Quality Inspection | Vietnam Location: Ho Chi Minh City Reports to: Regional Leadership Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the role
We are currently supporting a well-established Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) company specialising in softlines (garments and accessories) in hiring a Country Manager for Vietnam.
The Country Manager will lead end-to-end operations for Vietnam, overseeing an organisation delivering inspection services across garments and accessories. This role carries full accountability for operational performance, service quality, client satisfaction, and P&L contribution, while ensuring strict adherence to internal standards and client-specific requirements.
The mandate combines field operations leadership, KPI governance, team development, and client management, alongside a focus on process optimisation and business expansion.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Performance Management
• Own daily inspection operations nationwide, including planning, resource allocation, and field execution
• Drive delivery against core KPIs (on-time rate, lead time, re-inspection rate, nonconformities, productivity)
• Enforce compliance with internal SOPs and client protocols
• Maintain strong audit performance and report accuracy
• Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
• Deliver structured reporting and dashboards to senior management
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and develop cross-functional teams (QC, inspectors, coordinators, customer service, reporting)
• Run structured governance cadence (daily / weekly / monthly reviews)
• Drive workforce stability and engagement
• Own training and capability development roadmap
• Conduct performance reviews across all levels
Customer & Account Management
• Manage key client relationships with regular business reviews
• Ensure high service standards and responsiveness
• Own complaint management lifecycle (investigation → action plan → resolution)
• Reduce complaint rates through proactive issue handling
• Coordinate seasonal and ad-hoc client alignment
Quality, Compliance & Financial Oversight
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of inspections and reports
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, client requirements, and local regulations
• Support budget planning and monitor cost/productivity performance
• Contribute to profitability and operational efficiency targets
Business Development Support
• Partner with commercial teams on key accounts and new opportunities
• Identify and implement new services or process improvements
• Provide operational input into client acquisition and retention

Candidate Profile
Experience
• 10+ years in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) or quality control operations
• Strong exposure to softlines (garments, accessories)
• Experience managing multicultural, field-based teams
• Background in country-level or senior operational leadership roles
Capabilities
• Strong knowledge of inspection processes, SOPs, and quality systems (e.g., ISO, KPI frameworks)
• Ability to manage complex, multi-client environments
• Strong stakeholder and client management skills
• Data-driven with hands-on KPI monitoring and problem-solving approach
• Experience in structured complaint management and corrective action processes
• Budget awareness and operational efficiency mindset
Languages
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese
