[URGENT] Head of Quality - Industrial Manufacturing

About this role
A multinational manufacturer of industrial fittings and components is seeking a Head of Quality to lead quality excellence across its Vietnam operations.
Reporting directly to the President and working closely with the Plant Manager, this role will oversee the company’s Quality Management System, customer quality performance, supplier quality, and international certifications.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Manage and develop the Quality team, including QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and lab technicians
• Drive root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and A3 methodologies
• Oversee PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow documentation, and PPAP activities
• Act as the primary quality contact for international customers, particularly in the US and Europe
• Lead supplier quality management, including supplier audits and development
• Maintain key industry certifications including UL, FM, NSF, WRAS, ACS, and DVGW
• Coordinate third-party audits and ensure full compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
• Monitor and improve key quality KPIs including scrap rate, customer PPM, and firstpass yield
• Partner cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales teams

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Foundry Engineering, or related field
• 8–10+ years of quality management experience within casting/foundry or discrete manufacturing environments, including leadership experience
• Strong expertise in PFMEA, DFMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, supplier quality, and structured problem-solving tools
• Experience managing international certifications and ISO systems
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification required; ISO 14001 experience preferred
• Strong customer-facing experience with North American and European customers
• Fluent in Vietnamese and English; Chinese language skills are a plus
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management capabilities

Preferred Qualifications
• Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt or Master’s degree
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or IATF 16949
• Experience with MES or SPC quality systems
