About the Role
We're supporting our client – a global manufacturer of fibre optic connectivity solutions, to identify a new Quality Assurance Manager. This position will lead the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with international standards while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You will oversee quality assurance activities, manage audits, develop quality policies, and partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers to deliver world-class product quality. This role reports to the Plant Manager and works closely with the Global Quality leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management Systems
• Lead and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, TL9000 and other applicable standards.
• Maintain and improve quality policies, procedures and documentation.
• Serve as the company's Quality Management Representative.
Audits & Compliance
• Plan, coordinate and manage internal and third-party quality audits.
• Monitor audit findings and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with RoHS, REACH and Conflict Minerals requirements.
Continuous Improvement
• Drive company-wide quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead CAPA, CPAR and 8D corrective action processes.
• Monitor effectiveness of corrective actions through regular audits.
• Develop and implement Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives.
Manufacturing & Supplier Quality
• Oversee quality performance of incoming materials, production processes and finished products.
• Manage equipment calibration systems and quality documentation.
• Evaluate supplier quality performance and lead supplier audits.
• Partner with Engineering to validate product and process improvements.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Lead, coach and develop the Quality team.
• Deliver TQM and quality-related training across the organisation.
• Prepare quality performance reports for senior management.
• Act as the primary quality contact for customers, suppliers and certification bodies.
• Manage departmental budgets covering internal and external quality activities.

What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality Management role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Control methodologies and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining: ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, TL9000 (preferred)
• Experience managing internal and external quality audits.
• Familiarity with CAPA, CPAR and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience in supplier quality management and equipment calibration.
• Good understanding of RoHS, REACH and Conflict Minerals compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering quality training and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
