  • The organisation values teamwork, integrity, and professional ethics, offering a supportive culture where your contributions are recognised and encouraged.
  • Enjoy flexible working opportunities and frequent business travel, allowing you to expand your network and gain exposure to diverse manufacturing environments.

What you'll do:

As a Quality Engineer based in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control for general merchandise destined for Australian markets. Your day-to-day activities will involve monitoring production processes from start to finish, ensuring that every product meets stringent regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with suppliers and factories, providing training and guidance on best practices while supporting them through process improvements such as CAPA implementation. Your role will also encompass applying technical guidelines at multiple operational levels, supporting product safety measures—including child safety testing—and ensuring thorough documentation is maintained throughout the production cycle. Frequent business travel will allow you to engage directly with partners across the supply chain, reinforcing quality standards and sharing knowledge. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to upholding industry-leading practices.

  • Monitor quality control activities throughout the production lifecycle to ensure compliance with contracted pre-production standards.
  • Drive end-to-end production processes including pre-production, in-line inspection, and end-of-line inspections to guarantee adherence to established quality benchmarks.
  • Train, guide, and support suppliers and factories in building robust quality production processes aligned with industry standards.
  • Provide guidance on process improvement initiatives such as Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) implementation for factories and vendors.
  • Apply quality manuals, guidelines, management systems, and technical methods at supplier, third-party, and factory levels to maintain consistent standards.
  • Support the implementation of product safety requirements including needle and sharp tool controls, metal detection protocols, and child safety testing according to Australian regulations.
  • Ensure factories maintain comprehensive development reports, QA sample documentation, accurate correction records against contracted standards, and share guidance notes during pre-production meetings.
  • Monitor critical points discussed at pre-production meetings to ensure they are effectively implemented within the production process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues promptly and efficiently while maintaining open communication channels.
  • Participate in frequent business travel to oversee supplier operations and provide hands-on support for continuous improvement.

What you bring:

Integrity forms the cornerstone of your professional conduct; you consistently uphold ethical standards while supporting colleagues through training initiatives. Frequent travel does not deter you; instead it energises your commitment to sharing knowledge firsthand. With meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities, you excel at managing documentation vital for maintaining high-quality outcomes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or an equivalent discipline is required for this position.
