Head of Quality (Dong Nai)

HEAD OF QUALITY Location: Dong Nai Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We’re currently hiring for a senior quality leader to join a large-scale home textile manufacturer in Dong Nai, supplying major international and U.S. retail customers.

This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end ownership of the quality function. You will shape the quality strategy, strengthen systems and compliance, lead customer quality management, and build a high-performing local quality organisation.

What you'll do

• Lead the overall quality strategy and quality management system across R&D, raw materials, yarn, weaving, dyeing, finishing, cutting, sewing, packing, final inspection and shipment.
• Ensure customer and regulatory compliance, particularly for U.S. customers, international quality standards and applicable product safety requirements.
• Manage customer quality and audits, ensuring products consistently meet customer specifications and proactively addressing quality concerns.
• Strengthen quality systems and digitalisation, using quality data and visualisation to improve transparency, decision-making and operational control.
• Drive monthly quality performance reviews, tracking key metrics including defect rates, FPY, rework, scrap, audit findings, CAPA and customer feedback.
• Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) by identifying root causes and implementing sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee supplier quality management across key materials and external processes, including yarn, dyes/chemicals, accessories, packaging and subcontractors.
• Embed quality into new product development, from design and sampling through pilot runs and mass production.
• Lead major quality issue resolution through cross-functional problem-solving using tools such as 8D, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, RCA and PDCA.
• Build and develop the Vietnamese quality team, including recruitment, training, mentoring, performance management and succession planning.
• Work closely with General Management, Production, Planning, Supply Chain, R&D/Design, Sales and suppliers to balance quality, cost, productivity and delivery.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Textile Engineering, Dyeing & Finishing, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing quality management, with 5+ years in senior quality leadership.
• Strong experience in textile, home textile, apparel, fabric, dyeing or related manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with U.S. customers, major retailers or international brands is highly preferred.
• Experience managing quality in a large-scale factory environment, ideally 1,000+ employees.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AQL, 8D, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, RCA, PDCA, Quality Cost Management, Supplier Quality Management and Customer Audits.
• Strong understanding of U.S. product safety and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent English for business and technical communication with international customers; Chinese is an advantage.
• Strong leadership capabilities, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration, team building, talent development and continuous improvement.
• Data-driven, hands-on and commercially aware, with the ability to balance quality, cost, productivity and delivery.
