Product Engineering Manager Location: Binh Duong Salary: Competitive (based on experience)

Overview

A multinational manufacturing company is seeking a Product Engineering Manager to lead product development and industrialisation activities at a modern production facility in Binh Duong. This role will focus on ensuring product designs are manufacturable, optimising processes, and driving collaboration across global teams and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product specifications, tolerances, and assembly methods in collaboration with regional teams, ensuring manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
  • Develop and implement production processes (process flow, PFMEA, control plan, work instructions) for local manufacturing.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise cost, quality, and efficiency (lean manufacturing).
  • Monitor process capability (Cp/Cpk), apply SPC, and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (sourcing, QA, planning, logistics) for successful product launches.
  • Act as technical liaison with OEM suppliers: align specifications, validate tooling, and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage engineering changes (ECR/ECN) and maintain documentation in PLM systems.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in product development/ manufacturing; management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly, and quality control systems.
  • Experience in process optimisation, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership capability with experience coaching teams.
  • Experience working with OEM suppliers is a plus.
