Business Unit Director - Medical Devices

This role is responsible for managing multifunctional teams across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to deliver sustainable business growth, profitability, operational excellence, and long-term organizational capability.

The successful candidate will own the full P&L and play a key role in shaping business strategy, strengthening market position, and building a high-performance culture.


Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve sustainable double-digit growth.
  • Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability through effective commercial strategies.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive insights to maintain a strong market position.
  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with key customers, principals, and stakeholders.
  • Lead portfolio expansion and commercial channel optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure achievement of financial targets through effective P&L management, forecasting, and budget planning.

Commercial & Operational Excellence

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business efficiency, agility, and productivity.
  • Ensure strong execution discipline and customer-centric operations.

Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop senior management teams to drive high performance and accountability.
  • Build succession pipelines and develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote strong ethical standards, integrity, and leadership by example.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the healthcare industry in Vietnam.
  • Strong experience in medical devices businesses is required.
  • At least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing multifunctional teams.
  • Proven track record in driving business growth and managing profitable business units.
  • Strong commercial acumen with solid experience in account management and stakeholder engagement.

  • Proven ability to manage full P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong people leadership with the ability to inspire and align teams.

Languages

  • Fluent in English and Vietnamese.
  • Additional Asian language capability is an advantage.
