General Manager/ Plant Director

A leading international manufacturer is seeking a Plant Director / General Manager to lead a large-scale manufacturing facility in Ho Chi Minh City. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, legal and regulatory compliance, quality, supply chain efficiency, and people development across a workforce of 600+ employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, EHS, finance, and compliance.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage plant P&L, budgeting, cost control, capital investments, and financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, environmental, labor, corporate governance, and safety requirements.
  • Improve productivity, quality, cost efficiency, safety, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Ensure customer requirements are met through high standards of quality, delivery, and service.
  • Build and develop a high-performing leadership team and workforce.
  • Manage relationships with government authorities, regulators, auditors, and key external stakeholders.
  • Deliver plant performance aligned with business growth and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of manufacturing experience, including leadership of large-scale operations.
  • 5+ years in Plant Director, General Manager, Operations Director, or equivalent executive leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing facilities with 500+ employees.
  • Strong expertise in operational excellence, supply chain optimization, quality management, financial management, and cost control.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, legal compliance, labor regulations, EHS standards, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing P&L, budgeting, CAPEX, and business performance.
  • Strong leadership, change management, and talent development capabilities.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or above; engineering, manufacturing, or business-related background preferred.
  • Experience in multinational manufacturing environments.
  • Industry experience in building materials, furniture, plastics/PVC, or related sectors is advantageous.
