Head of Learning and Talent Development

The Head of Leadership, Learning and Talent Development is responsible for leading the strategy to build organizational capability, drive the leadership development roadmap, and advance talent management initiatives across the organization. The role ensures alignment between business strategy, the talent agenda, and capability development.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Talent Management & Succession Planning
  • Design and implement talent management and succession frameworks, including talent identification, readiness assessment, and development pathways
  • Build and manage HiPo pipelines to ensure strong leadership bench strength
  • Lead early-career and mid-career talent development programs
  • Drive enterprise-wide talent development initiatives to support business continuity and growth
  1. Leadership & Capability Development
  • Assess leadership and management capability gaps
  • Develop and implement a future-ready leadership development strategy across all levels
  • Lead capability-building initiatives aligned with business priorities and market changes
  • Track and measure leadership development effectiveness
  1. Organizational Capability Building
  • Develop enterprise and functional competency frameworks
  • Diagnose capability gaps and design targeted development journeys
  • Execute capability-building programs in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strengthen technical, digital, and behavioral capabilities across the organization
  1. Learning Strategy & Culture
  • Define and execute the company’s learning and development strategy
  • Build scalable, cost-effective, and digitally enabled learning frameworks and platforms
  • Promote a strong learning culture through change management and engagement initiatives
  • Establish governance, KPIs, and measurement systems to track learning effectiveness
  • Continuously improve development programs through data-driven insights
  1. HR Leadership & Advisory
  • Act as a key member of the HR Leadership Team
  • Build a high-performing and engaged HR function
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CHRO on talent, leadership, and organizational development

Requirements & Qualifications

Candidates for this role should demonstrate a strong combination of strategic mindset and deep HR expertise:

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a primary focus on talent management, organizational development, and HR business partnering
  • Strategic thinking: Proven ability to translate business strategy into impactful HR initiatives, particularly in capability building and program design
  • Mindset: High levels of learning agility, adaptability to change, and strong people orientation
  • Leadership capabilities: Demonstrated executive presence with strong influencing, coaching, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage and advise senior leaders and C-suite executives
  • Professional certifications: Credentials such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certifications in organizational development are advantageous
