Employee Relation Supervisor

Save job

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with labour regulations, and supporting employee engagement initiatives. As part of a globally recognised organisation, you will be empowered to collaborate across teams, nurture relationships, and contribute to a supportive environment where people are valued and encouraged to deliver their best.

What you'll do:

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve being the go-to person for resolving workplace concerns—whether they relate to grievances or disciplinary matters—by conducting investigations with care and providing balanced recommendations. You will work collaboratively with managers to address performance or behavioural issues while ensuring that all actions are consistent with company policy and local labour law. In addition to overseeing compliance efforts through regular reviews of HR policies and preparing audit documentation, you will coordinate with legal advisors when needed. Your role extends beyond conflict resolution; you will actively organise engagement activities that build community spirit within the organisation. By acting as a trusted advisor on workplace matters, you will help create an environment where employees feel supported. You’ll also maintain meticulous records of employee relations cases, prepare insightful reports on trends such as turnover or disciplinary cases, collaborate across HR functions for smooth operations—including offboarding—and support onboarding processes when required. Success in this role means demonstrating empathy, fairness, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to fostering positive employee experiences.

  • Serve as the primary contact for all employee relations matters including grievances, complaints, conflicts, and disciplinary cases, ensuring every concern is handled with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into workplace issues and provide thoughtful recommendations for resolution that align with company values and legal requirements.
  • Support managers in addressing employee performance concerns, misconduct, and behavioural issues by offering guidance rooted in fairness and compliance with labour law.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures across all levels of the organisation to foster trust and transparency within the workforce.
  • Review, update, and communicate HR policies, employee handbooks, and related procedures so that employees remain informed about their rights and responsibilities.
  • Prepare documentation for audits related to labour compliance and maintain accurate records of employee relations cases to support organisational integrity.
  • Coordinate with legal advisors or external authorities when necessary to ensure all actions taken are compliant with local regulations.
  • Organise employee communication sessions, engagement activities, and culture-building programmes that promote a sense of belonging among staff members.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to both employees and managers on workplace issues by providing empathetic support and clear guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with recruitment, payroll, HRBP teams, handling offboarding processes such as exit interviews while supporting onboarding when required.

What you bring:

The ideal Employee Relations Supervisor brings not only technical qualifications but also proven experience in nurturing positive workplace cultures. Your background includes several years spent managing employee relations or HR operations within organisations where fairness and compliance were paramount. You possess deep familiarity with Vietnam Labour Law as well as best practices in human resources management—skills that enable you to guide managers through complex situations involving performance or behavioural concerns. Your ability to conduct thorough investigations into workplace issues is matched by your sensitivity when handling confidential information. Interpersonal skills are central: you excel at building rapport across diverse teams while communicating clearly about policies or procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications allows you to produce comprehensive reports on trends such as attrition rates or disciplinary cases. You have demonstrated success supporting audits or preparing documentation for compliance purposes. Collaboration comes naturally; whether working alongside recruitment teams during onboarding or coordinating exit interviews during offboarding processes, your approach is always considerate. Above all else, your empathy ensures every interaction contributes positively toward building an engaged workforce.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or related field is required for this position.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Employee Relations or HR Operations roles ensures you bring proven expertise in managing workplace concerns.
  • Strong understanding of Vietnam Labour Law combined with knowledge of HR best practices allows you to navigate complex regulatory environments confidently.
  • Experience handling disciplinary cases, conflict resolution processes, and conducting sensitive employee investigations demonstrates your ability to manage challenging situations professionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enable you to build trustful relationships across all levels of the organisation while communicating clearly on sensitive topics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications supports your ability to prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records efficiently.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly ensures privacy is respected throughout all interactions.
  • Good problem-solving skills allow you to approach workplace issues thoughtfully while considering multiple perspectives before making recommendations.
  • Experience supporting audits or preparing documentation related to labour compliance adds value by strengthening organisational integrity.
  • Capacity for collaboration across HR functions such as recruitment or payroll helps ensure seamless HR operations.
