Legal Counsel

A leading financial services firm in Ho Chi Minh City is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide legal advisory across corporate governance, AML, data privacy, and capital management. You will support contract review, regulatory compliance, and key committees, while working in a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

What you'll do:

• Provide legal advice across business functions, including corporate governance, AML, data privacy, and fund management
• Review and vet contracts, agreements, corporate documents, and fund-related materials
• Ensure licenses, permits, and documentation comply with current regulations
• Monitor regulatory changes, assess impact, and advise internal stakeholders
• Update SOPs and deliver legal training to enhance internal awareness
• Support committees (product, investment) with legal insights and documentation
• Act as legal secretary: prepare minutes, maintain records, and support operations
• Assist in reporting, audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver practical, business-oriented legal solutions

What you bring:

• Law degree with 5-8 years’ experience in financial services (securities, fund management, banking)
• Strong business mindset with practical, solution-oriented thinking
• Solid analytical and regulatory interpretation skills
• Effective communication in English & Vietnamese
• Proven teamwork and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Experience in SOP development and legal training delivery
• Ability to support audits, inspections, and compliance processes
