Associate - Project (Energy, Infrastructure and Finance)

An excellent opportunity for an associate lawyer to join a leading international law firm in Hanoi, working on high-profile cross-border transactions across energy, infrastructure, and finance sectors. This role offers strong exposure to project finance, renewable energy, M&A, and infrastructure developments while collaborating with international partners and sector specialists.

What you'll do:

• Support sponsors, lenders, developers, and investors on project development and project finance transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents including project agreements, financing documents, SPAs, and JV agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide regulatory advice on energy, infrastructure, foreign investment, and licensing matters in Vietnam.
• Work closely with international partners and cross-border teams on complex transactions.
• Assist with client presentations, reports, and legal briefings.
• Participate in business development initiatives, pitches, and market research.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and regulatory developments.
• Support partners and senior lawyers on ad-hoc transactional matters.

What you bring:

• Vietnamese qualified lawyer with 2–4 years’ PQE from a leading international or top-tier local law firm.
• Experience in project finance, energy/infrastructure projects, or M&A transactions.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Commercial mindset and willingness to learn in an international environment.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple workstreams.
• High level of professionalism, responsibility, and confidentiality.
• Self-motivated with a strong interest in long-term professional development.
