An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate & M&A lawyer to join a leading regional law firm in Ho Chi Minh City. This role is open to Counsel and Partner-level candidates and offers the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the firm's Vietnam Corporate & M&A practice. The successful candidate will advise on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions while working closely with regional offices and multinational clients.

For Partner-level candidates, a portable book of business is not required; however, the ability to demonstrate a clear business plan and contribute strategically to the growth of the practice will be highly valued.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage domestic and cross-border M&A, joint venture, private equity, and foreign investment transactions.
• Advise clients on corporate, commercial, regulatory, governance, and investment matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documentation.
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on strategic legal matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the development of the Corporate & M&A team.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues across the firm's regional network on multi-jurisdictional transactions.

What you'll bring

• Vietnamese qualified Lawyer with significant experience in Corporate & M&A, ideally gained within an international, regional, or Top-Tier local law firm.
• Strong track record advising on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, private equity investments, and general corporate matters.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, client management, and transaction execution skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• For Partner-level candidates, the ability to articulate a credible business plan and vision for growing a Corporate & M&A practice in Vietnam.
