Our client is a leading regional law firm with a strong presence across South East Asia and an established practice in Vietnam. The firm advises multinational corporations, financial institutions, investment funds, and domestic enterprises on a broad range of complex corporate, commercial, and transactional matters.
As part of its continued growth strategy in Vietnam, the firm is seeking an accomplished Corporate & M&A Partner to join its Ho Chi Minh City office.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and expansion of the firm's Corporate & M&A practice in Vietnam. The position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions while leveraging the firm's regional platform and international client network.
The Partner will be responsible for originating, leading, and executing matters, building long-term client relationships, and contributing to the strategic growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign investment, corporate restructurings, and general corporate advisory work.
- Lead and manage complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted commercial adviser.
- Drive business development initiatives and contribute to revenue growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice groups on regional and international matters.
- Mentor and develop legal talent within the practice.
- Contribute to the firm's market profile through thought leadership, industry engagement, and professional networking.
What you will bring:
- Qualification to practise law in Vietnam.
- Significant experience in Corporate & M&A matters gained within a Top Tier domestic or international law firm.
- Strong technical expertise across a broad range of corporate and transactional work.
- A well-established professional network and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- A commercial mindset with a track record of business development and practice growth.
- Experience managing sophisticated transactions involving both local and international stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Business Development expectation:
The firm is seeking an individual who can contribute meaningfully to the growth of the practice through client relationships, market presence, and business generation activities.

- Existing client relationships and business development track record (a portable book of business is mandatory).
