Foreign-qualified Lawyer - Junior to Mid-level

Our client is an international law firm with a strong presence in Vietnam, advising multinational corporations, financial institutions, and investors on corporate and M&A transactions, including cross-border deals and investments. With continued growth in its Vietnam practice, the firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Associate to join the team, with opportunities to work on high-value transactions.

What you'll do

• Advise multinational clients and investors on corporate matters, foreign investment, licensing, and regulatory issues in Vietnam.
• Advise on M&A, joint ventures, restructurings, and strategic investments, including transaction structuring and legal due diligence.
• Draft and negotiate key transaction and corporate documents, including share purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements, joint venture agreements, investment agreements, and commercial contracts.
• Advise clients on corporate governance, market entry, licensing, and regulatory compliance under Vietnamese law.
• Work closely with international offices, clients, financial advisers, and other stakeholders on cross-border investments and transactions.
• Support business development, including client updates, legal publications, and seminars.
• Supervise junior lawyers and manage multiple matters in a fast-paced international environment.

What you bring

• Foreign-qualified lawyer with approximately 2+ years PQE gained at an international law firm or top-tier practice.
• Strong experience in Corporate/M&A, foreign investment, joint ventures, and cross-border transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
• Proven ability to independently manage client relationships and lead transactions.
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within international and cross-functional teams.
