Head of Investor Relation - Fast growing Digital company
A leading Digital company in Vietnam is seeking a Head of Investor Relation to spearhead its most pivotal financial initiatives. This senior leadership position sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, offering you the opportunity to directly support the CFO while collaborating closely with the CEO and Board on high-impact capital markets and corporate finance activities.
What you'll do:
As Head of Investor Relation, you will be entrusted with driving some of the most significant financial initiatives within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing relationships with key investors; consolidating group financials; supporting capital raising activities; evaluating new business ventures; mentoring your team; coordinating with external advisors; monitoring market trends; ensuring robust governance practices; leveraging your expertise to create sustainable value for stakeholders throughout Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
- Own and manage investor relations activities by building strong relationships with institutional investors, private equity partners, and financial institutions while developing compelling investor-facing materials such as equity stories, presentations, financial narratives, and board reporting packages.
- Support the CFO in all capital markets activities including equity and debt fundraising efforts, managing banking relationships, overseeing credit facility management, and ensuring effective communication with external advisors such as investment banks, legal counsel, and Big 4 firms.
- Monitor market developments by analysing comparable company positioning and investor sentiment to inform capital markets strategies that align with organisational goals.
- Evaluate new business opportunities by assessing market expansion strategies across Vietnam and Southeast Asia while providing recommendations on capital allocation decisions.
- Oversee group-level financial consolidation processes to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant management reporting packages that meet disclosure standards required for listed companies.
- Lead the Strategic Finance team by setting clear goals while mentoring direct reports to foster a collaborative and commercially aware culture.
- Coordinate multiple complex workstreams simultaneously by acting as the internal point of contact for external advisors on capital markets transactions.
- Ensure all group reporting is board-ready by maintaining rigorous standards for accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field is essential while an MBA, CFA or Master’s degree would be highly advantageous for this role.
- At least ten years’ progressive experience in investor relation scope or strategic finance roles
- Demonstrated expertise in investor relations or mergers and acquisitions—including experience managing institutional investor relationships, constructing investment cases for potential deals or public offerings, running due diligence processes efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Proven track record working alongside external advisors such as investment banks or legal counsel on complex multi-workstream engagements involving cross-border considerations or multi-entity structures.
- Experience in group financial consolidation processes or multi-entity reporting frameworks—ideally within organisations operating across borders.
- Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) is highly desirable along with advanced financial modelling skills using industry-standard tools.
- Exceptional written communication abilities are required for producing high-quality investor-facing materials while fluency in both Vietnamese and English (written/spoken) is mandatory given stakeholder diversity.
- A strategic mindset capable of balancing long-term vision (such as IPO planning) with near-term executional rigour—demonstrating high levels of responsibility without requiring close supervision from senior leaders.
- Previous exposure to e-commerce platforms or technology-driven businesses would be beneficial but not strictly necessary—experience in retail or fast-moving consumer goods sectors may also be relevant.
