What you'll do:

As a Product Manager Asia Pacific you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your ability to bridge technical expertise with commercial acumen will be highly valued. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing robust strategies tailored to local markets while managing a diverse portfolio of products throughout their lifecycle. Success in this role hinges on your capacity to collaborate seamlessly across functions—working hand-in-hand with R&D on new formulations; supporting sales teams with insightful training; partnering with supply chain professionals for smooth launches; and engaging finance colleagues on pricing models. You will be instrumental in translating complex market data into actionable plans that drive growth across healthcare, automotive, construction and other vital sectors. By maintaining close contact with both internal stakeholders and external customers throughout APAC you will ensure that every solution delivered not only meets but exceeds expectations. Your efforts will directly contribute to strengthening the company’s presence in one of the world’s most exciting regions for industrial innovation.

  • Define and implement comprehensive product and market strategies for selected segments within the Asia Pacific region by analysing market trends, customer requirements, technological advancements, and competitive landscapes.
  • Manage the entire product portfolio lifecycle including development, launch, optimisation, and phase-out activities with a focus on maximising margin, cost efficiency, yield improvement, and increasing market share.
  • Lead and coordinate new product development initiatives by collaborating closely with Research & Development, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, Sales teams, and Finance departments across multiple countries.
  • Align global product formulations with specific regional market demands by overseeing specifications setting, testing protocols, validation processes, and successful scale-up activities.
  • Support pricing strategies by providing input into forecasting models and demand planning while also assisting with key customer engagements and delivering effective product training sessions for regional teams.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product performance in order to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance value delivery to customers.
  • Facilitate communication between technical experts and commercial stakeholders ensuring that all perspectives are integrated into decision-making processes for optimal results.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments within chemicals, plastics, polymers or related fields to inform strategic decisions and maintain competitive advantage in the marketplace.
  • Travel within the APAC region as required to engage with customers, partners, and internal teams ensuring alignment on objectives and execution plans.

What you bring:

To excel as Product Manager Asia Pacific you will bring a blend of technical knowledge commercial awareness and outstanding interpersonal abilities. Your background should include direct exposure to managing products within complex industrial environments—ideally involving chemicals plastics or polymers—where you have demonstrated skill in balancing cost quality yield and customer satisfaction. Your analytical mindset enables you to make sense of shifting market dynamics while your communication style fosters collaboration among colleagues from different disciplines backgrounds or geographies. Adaptability is key as you navigate evolving priorities across multiple projects often requiring travel throughout the region.   • A degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business or another relevant discipline which provides a solid foundation for understanding technical products.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience in Product Management demonstrating your ability to oversee portfolios within chemicals, plastics or polymers industries or similar sectors.
  • Proven analytical skills developed through practical experience enabling you to interpret complex data sets and translate them into strategic actions that benefit both customers and business objectives.
  • Familiarity with pricing mechanisms as well as portfolio management techniques including lifecycle management from inception through optimisation to phase-out stages.
  • Experience working within international matrix-based organisations where effective communication across cultures is essential for success.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills allowing you to connect technical details with commercial priorities while building trust among diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is required while additional Asian language skills would be considered advantageous for communicating across the region.
  • A structured approach combined with self-motivation ensuring tasks are completed efficiently even when managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel within APAC as needed in order to maintain strong relationships with clients partners suppliers and internal teams.
