What you'll do:

As Sales Manager Construction Chemicals based in Hanoi covering Northern Vietnam, you will be entrusted with driving the commercial success of a diverse product portfolio within the construction sector. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include crafting strategic sales plans tailored to local market conditions while ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales execution—from budgeting through to performance monitoring—while proactively identifying new business opportunities. Building enduring relationships with distributors and key customers will be central to your success; you will act as a trusted advisor who understands their unique needs and delivers value-added solutions. In addition to managing your own direct report(s), you will play an active role in recruiting new talent into your team and nurturing their professional development through ongoing coaching. Cross-functional collaboration is essential; you will work hand-in-hand with colleagues from technical support through to finance to ensure seamless service delivery.   • Develop and implement comprehensive country sales plans that align with overall company objectives to ensure sustainable growth in the construction chemicals market.
  • Establish annual sales budgets for regions and territories by forecasting demand and setting clear performance targets for your team.
  • Drive sales performance by monitoring results against volume, revenue, and market share goals, making timely adjustments to action plans as needed.
  • Expand both numeric and weighted distribution by identifying new growth opportunities, analysing competitor activities, and staying ahead of market trends.
  • Resolve distributor-related issues including performance challenges, debt management, conflicts, and compliance matters while seeking opportunities for expansion or improvement.
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with key customers to understand their needs, support critical negotiations, resolve urgent issues, and foster long-term loyalty.
  • Monitor profitability by adjusting selling prices based on costs, competition, supply-demand dynamics, and designing promotional programmes that achieve both sales volume and operating profit targets.
  • Recruit, select, orientate, train, coach, counsel, discipline, plan for succession, monitor progress, and appraise job results for your direct report(s) to ensure a high-performing regional sales team.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments such as Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, R&D, and Technical teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
