What you'll do:
As Regional Segment Head - ASEAN - Chemicals, you will play a central role in shaping regional sales strategies that drive continuous market expansion. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with teams across multiple countries to identify growth opportunities outside traditional segments. You will manage key accounts with precision while supporting global segment plans through relationship-building along the value chain. - Develop and execute a comprehensive country strategy designed to deliver above-market growth through focused segment assessment, prioritisation, and strategic alignment with customer needs.
- Expand business beyond traditional segments by analysing customer segmentation, optimising distributor networks, defining clear channel strategies, setting up key account plans, and allocating resources effectively.
- Support the implementation of global segment plans by managing relationships across the entire value chain—including OEM local offices, shoemakers, molders, machine makers—and expanding the customer base through partnership projects.
- Drive systematic prospecting for new customers and white space opportunities by gathering market intelligence and engaging in proactive business development activities to capture untapped potential.
- Transform the sales organisation into a high-performance team with a collaborative mentality by hiring strategically to optimise geographic coverage and embracing transparent performance management practices.
- Champion commercial excellence through value-based pricing strategies, trade working capital optimisation, advanced negotiation capabilities, and maximising profitability while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Enhance industrial marketing efforts by coordinating segment steering strategies, optimising channel management, and partnering with strategic customers or industry influencers to create differentiation in targeted segments.
- Lead initiatives related to inorganic growth in the ASEAN market by mobilising support across functions and countries to expand into new OEMs and other segments.
- Integrate digital transformation into daily operations by leveraging Artificial Intelligence, CRM systems, and data analytics to improve productivity and gain deeper customer insights.
- Deliver both short- and long-term financial performance targets as outlined in annual budgets and strategic frameworks while proactively mitigating risks associated with changing market dynamics.

- Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) in Engineering or Business from a top-tier university is required for this position.
- At least 10 years of commercial experience in B2B industrial or chemical markets is essential for success in this role.
- Minimum 7 years in leadership roles with proven P&L responsibility alongside an exceptional track record of sustained growth exceeding 10% CAGR.
- Deep expertise with hands-on experience in specialty chemicals, polymers or advanced materials; strong background in Footwear & IT industry partnerships as well as OEM relationships is highly desirable.
- Strategic thinking combined with analytical skills enables you to follow structured processes from planning through execution while identifying new opportunities.
- Visionary leadership qualities allow you to spot performance gaps, drive continuous improvement initiatives, inspire diverse teams through change management practices, and establish new benchmarks within the market.
- Proven experience implementing organisational transformation including performance management systems based on transparency and accountability as well as commercial excellence benchmarks.
- Hands-on familiarity with commercial excellence principles such as value-based pricing strategies coupled with practical experience leading digital transformation projects within sales organisations.
- Ability to thrive under continuous pressure while adapting quickly to ambiguity or shifting targets demonstrates your resilience within dynamic environments.
- Fluent English language skills are mandatory; proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) or Vietnamese is highly advantageous for effective cross-cultural communication.
