What you'll do:
As a Senior Merchandiser based in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be responsible for driving the sourcing process from start to finish. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams—ranging from Quality Assurance to Supply Chain—to ensure products are developed efficiently and delivered on time. You’ll engage directly with suppliers across South East Asia to negotiate terms that meet both cost objectives and quality standards. By staying attuned to market trends and proactively identifying new opportunities for product innovation, you’ll help shape the company’s offerings in categories such as bathroom accessories, kitchenware, home decoration items, tools, plastics, metals, ceramics, and brass products. Your ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders will be crucial for maintaining smooth operations. Additionally, you’ll mentor junior staff members while managing key performance indicators like shipment value and factory optimisation. - You will manage end-to-end sourcing projects, from supplier identification through negotiation and engagement, ensuring timely delivery that meets market demand.
- You will support engineering design initiatives by coordinating with both internal teams and external parties to achieve cost-saving solutions and high production efficiency.
- You will develop and maintain a robust supplier base that aligns with global sourcing strategies, meeting capability, capacity, and cost requirements.
- You will proactively monitor market trends to identify new product opportunities and ensure the business remains ahead of industry developments.

- You will oversee all-round sourcing activities including price negotiation, project coordination, delivery management, product development, buying trips, factory visits, and strategic category development.
- You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Quality Assurance, Supply Chain & Logistics, Commercial Development, Structural Packaging, Finance teams to create and review product briefs and schedules.
- You will ensure project schedules are efficiently communicated and adhered to by all relevant parties for optimal results.
- You will manage shipment value targets, OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery rates, factory optimisation metrics, banner feedback credibility, and reject rates as key performance measures.
- You will provide guidance to junior team members including Merchandisers and Interns, supporting their growth within the organisation.

Industry-specific knowledge regarding materials like plastics/metals/ceramics/brass—particularly for bathroom/kitchen/home décor/tools—is highly regarded. Fluency in English is necessary for daily interactions; additional language capabilities such as Mandarin or Cantonese expand your reach within the network. - Minimum eight years’ experience in merchandising or manufacturing within hardgoods sectors; experience in DIY markets is highly desirable.
- Proven expertise handling projects independently including sourcing activities such as cost analysis and capacity evaluation.
- Strong communication skills enabling effective presentations and negotiations with suppliers as well as inter-personal collaboration across international teams.
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management coupled with problem-solving abilities that support efficient resolution of challenges.
- Sound background in product development processes is considered an advantage for this position.
- Excellent PC skills allowing you to manage documentation efficiently throughout all stages of sourcing projects.
- Diploma qualification majoring in Business; specialisation in Purchasing or Marketing is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Industry knowledge related to plastic, metal, ceramic or brass products—especially those used in bathrooms/kitchens/home décor/tools—is preferred.
- Fluent spoken and written English is required; Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are considered beneficial for broader communication needs.
