What you'll do:

As Commercialisation Manager Footwear, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire post-confirmation sample review process. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with factory partners to ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards while adhering to timelines. You will organise pre-production meetings, facilitate handovers between development teams and QA departments, monitor production lines for process accuracy, and communicate key performance indicators such as first pass rates. By analysing production data, you will identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality enhancement. Your role also includes mentoring your team of technicians, supporting sourcing efforts for new factories when required, participating in technical meetings with internal stakeholders, and driving a culture of innovation throughout the manufacturing process. Success in this position requires building strong relationships with both internal teams and external factory contacts while maintaining compliance with brand standards at every stage.

  • Manage post-confirmation sample review processes by providing corrective actions and communicating effectively with factories to ensure timely production that aligns with brand quality standards.
  • Oversee Extreme Size, Cutting Die Trial, and Pre-Production sample approvals to guarantee on-time delivery and adherence to specifications.
  • Ensure high first pass rates for pre-production trials by monitoring performance metrics and implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Participate in tear down meetings to offer technical guidance to development teams, ensuring consistent fitting and appearance in production compared to confirmation samples.
  • Follow up on Standard Operating Procedure accuracy with your team, maintaining aligned formats for seamless handovers.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of industrialisation technicians by nurturing their skills and supporting their professional development.
  • Organise pre-production meetings (PPT), handing over styles and SOPs to Quality Assurance teams and factories for smooth transitions into mass production.
  • Communicate weekly schedules, first pass rates, and any production delays to planning teams for transparent workflow management.
  • Monitor production starts by regularly visiting factory lines to follow up on process accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Identify and implement innovative manufacturing technologies while continuously improving production processes for greater efficiency and sustainability.
