What you'll do:
As a Production Planning Supervisor based in Long An, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a talented team through day-to-day operations while ensuring that all aspects of production planning run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include overseeing key functions such as material sourcing, demand forecasting, process improvement initiatives, and cross-departmental coordination. - Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the planning team, ensuring each member receives guidance and support to achieve their goals.
- Take responsibility for all aspects of production planning, outsourcing, material planning, demand forecasting, and overall workflow for designated product lines.
- Provide continuous analysis and timely information to management, highlighting any potential risks or deviations from targets so that proactive measures can be taken.
- Set up, monitor, and control team performance metrics such as task completion rates, KPI achievement, and daily/weekly/monthly activity tracking for all team members.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial, Finance, Purchasing, Production, and other related departments to ensure prompt action is taken from a planning perspective.
- Maintain and upgrade planning processes as needed to guarantee efficient departmental workflows and compliance with best practices.
- Review reports compiled by the team for accuracy and relevance before submission to management.
- Support clerical, analytical, research, and administrative tasks within the planning function as required by the Planning Manager.
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable state and federal regulations relevant to production planning.
- Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Planning Manager to support departmental objectives.

- A thorough understanding of fundamental concepts in production planning, inventory management, and related focus areas is expected.
- Excellent analytical abilities are crucial for interpreting complex data sets and making informed recommendations.
- Proficiency with computer systems such as Excel, Google Workspace applications (including VBA/Appscript), Oracle ERP systems, automation tools, or other function-specific software is highly desirable.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills are required for presenting information clearly across all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities will enable you to coordinate multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations ensures compliance throughout all planning activities.
- Lean Six Sigma certification would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
