What you'll do:

  • Evaluate future orders against existing forecasts, making timely adjustments when necessary to ensure alignment with customer demand.
  • Maintain oversight of the entire product planning life cycle including tracking product status, managing forecasting processes, and monitoring inventory levels.
  • Calculate and monitor key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy and bias against targets; identify errors proactively and provide actionable solutions to enhance forecasting performance.
  • Identify unusual conditions affecting products and communicate findings to management while recommending practical solutions for resolution.
  • Interact with key business partners both internally and externally to build dependable relationships that ensure accurate data collection and reliable forecasting outcomes.
  • Assess inventory reliability within the supply chain flow for approval of promotional requests and customer projections, guaranteeing customer satisfaction and consistent product availability.
  • Identify planned drop items or groups; evaluate optimal timing based on remaining finished goods inventory, raw material stock at vendor locations, and negotiate with production or purchasing teams regarding final run dates.
  • Provide direction for expediting, deferring or cancelling orders as needed to maintain proper inventory levels; recommend excess inventory items for promotional campaigns and develop plans for closing out remaining stock.
  • Contribute actively to long- and short-term business planning objectives by participating in product review meetings and integrated business planning sessions.
