With a focus on professional growth, you will have the chance to expand your strategic influence and develop your career within a company renowned for its commitment to sustainability, teamwork, and long-term vision.
- • Join a respected international retailer with a strong reputation for quality and operational excellence, offering you the platform to make a significant impact on both local and global quality initiatives.
- • Benefit from flexible working opportunities, ongoing training programmes, and a collaborative culture that supports your professional development and encourages knowledge sharing.
- • Enjoy the opportunity to lead a talented team, work on complex projects, and gain exposure to advanced manufacturing processes while expanding your strategic responsibilities over time.
What you'll do:
As the Quality Manager based in Ho Chi Minh, you will play an integral role in overseeing all aspects of local quality assurance activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include guiding your team towards achieving ambitious quality targets while maintaining close alignment with international strategies. You will be instrumental in developing robust systems that enhance supplier performance and product reliability. By fostering open communication between local teams and headquarters, you will ensure that critical project issues are addressed promptly. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you manage budgets, interpret technical reports, and support cross-functional teams with actionable insights. Success in this position requires you to champion continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing processes while nurturing talent within your team. You will also contribute significantly to internal projects designed to optimise operational efficiency and reduce product returns.
- Oversee all local quality functions by aligning daily operations with company strategy and ensuring seamless collaboration with headquarters.
- Lead, train, and develop a dedicated team of Quality Experts to achieve optimal performance and foster a positive corporate culture.
- Monitor supplier compliance with inspection programmes and policies, continuously analysing performance data to implement effective improvement plans.
- Manage on-site inspection programmes to guarantee timely shipment releases while reducing defects through robust quality control procedures.
- Liaise regularly with cross-functional teams and escalate major quality risks as needed, ensuring clear communication channels are maintained at all times.
- Take responsibility for the testing budget by monitoring third-party costs, analysing samples against KPIs, and providing accurate reporting for risk assessments.
- Drive internal projects focused on data analysis, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and product improvement initiatives aimed at decreasing return rates.
- Arrange regular meetings with factory management to review quality objectives, track progress on improvement initiatives, and follow up on agreed actions.
What you bring:
To excel as Quality Manager, you will bring proven experience from roles where you have overseen complex quality assurance functions within large-scale manufacturing settings—ideally involving both garments and hardgoods. Your background includes hands-on involvement with European retail markets or third-party testing laboratories operating across Asia. You possess deep technical understanding of industry standards alongside practical skills in interpreting regulatory requirements. Your success has been built upon strong interpersonal connections: you thrive when working collaboratively across departments or cultures. A dependable communicator who values empathy and cooperation, you are comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously while supporting others’ growth. Your attention to detail ensures compliance is never compromised—even under pressure—and your willingness to travel demonstrates dedication to upholding rigorous standards wherever production occurs.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Textile Engineering or a related scientific discipline which provides you with the technical foundation required for this role.
- Bring at least 6 years of relevant experience in quality management within hardgoods or garment manufacturing environments; at least 5 years should be at an assistant managerial or leadership level within the European retail market or third-party testing laboratories.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of materials science as well as garment and hardgoods manufacturing processes; you are adept at interpreting inspection reports and technical documents including EU/US regulations and directives.
- Showcase excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to build relationships across all organisational levels; your ability to collaborate effectively is matched by strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Display resilience under pressure with a proactive approach; your commitment ensures tasks are completed accurately even when facing tight deadlines.
- Possess fluency in written and spoken English as well as the local language; German language proficiency would be considered an asset but is not essential.
- Be computer literate with the ability to utilise digital tools for data analysis, reporting, and process optimisation.
- Be willing to travel frequently to factories as part of your commitment to maintaining high standards of supplier oversight.
