What you'll do:

As a Category Sourcing Supervisor based in Binh Duong, you will be entrusted with overseeing the entire lifecycle of category sourcing activities from new product launches through mass production to end-of-life management. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve analysing material spend data for cost-saving opportunities, developing innovative analytics tools for enhanced visibility into procurement operations, and refining workflows for greater efficiency. You will work collaboratively with various departments to ensure supplier performance meets organisational standards while supporting escalation processes when challenges arise. By executing strategic sourcing plans and negotiating favourable terms with suppliers, you will help drive continuous improvement in KPIs such as cost savings, lead times, payment terms, and supply flexibility.   • Execute comprehensive category sourcing management covering new product introduction (NPI), mass production phases, and product end-of-life (EOL) activities to ensure optimal material flow and process efficiency.
  • Drive detailed data analysis of material spend, cost saving initiatives, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), reorder points (ROP), and key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and enhance data analytics tools as well as electronic communication platforms for the Category Sourcing function to improve information sharing and decision-making.
  • Continuously refine and strengthen category sourcing processes and workflows by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Implement category sourcing strategies that focus on strengthening Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), developing preferred suppliers, and expanding the supplier base.
  • Lead supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing, delivery terms, quality standards, and supply flexibility while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders including engineering, production, quality assurance, and finance to drive supplier performance improvements.
  • Provide support during supplier escalations related to delivery issues, pricing disputes, or other business challenges by facilitating resolution in a timely manner.
  • Champion KPI improvement programmes focused on cost savings, minimum order quantities (MOQ), lead times, payment terms, incoterms, and supply flexibility initiatives.
