What you'll do:

As Sales Capability and Learning and Development Manager based in Ho Chi Minh City you’ll be at the centre of energising sales excellence within a leading organisation. Your days will be filled with exciting collaboration alongside business unit leaders as you assess current competencies using robust frameworks adapted from global standards. You’ll design engaging training curriculums tailored specifically for local market needs while ensuring they fit seamlessly into broader organisational goals. Managing annual training calendars means you’ll deliver impactful sessions both off-the-job and through dynamic on-field coaching models like ride-alongs or joint visits—helping nurture talent at every level. Beyond traditional training delivery you’ll coordinate closely with Cluster L&D teams for integrated execution of learning plans while keeping meticulous records of progress. As the go-to contact for sales capability evaluation in Vietnam you’ll propose fresh development initiatives that foster a high-performing culture. Success here means using your interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement plus analytical abilities to measure behavioural change resulting from your programmes.   • Lead the adoption and adaptation of global Sales Competency Frameworks for the Vietnam market by implementing standardised assessment tools such as competency matrices, role-play rubrics, call-quality criteria, and field observation checklists to consistently identify skill gaps across teams.
  • Conduct end-to-end Training Needs Analysis based on assessment outputs, prioritising capability gaps into structured learning curriculums including courses, skill modules, playbooks, facilitator guides, cases/role-plays, quizzes, job aids, and manage an annual training roadmap with clear objectives.
  • Drive the delivery of training across various formats by designing and executing an on-field coaching model that includes ride-alongs or joint visits with disciplined coaching cycles involving planning, observation, feedback, follow-up actions, coaching reports, and measurement of impact.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Leads and Business Unit Leaders to ensure alignment on priorities, go-to-market strategies, customer insights from the field, adapting capability agendas to match evolving strategic focus.
  • Partner with each Business Unit in field-based environments to collect deep insights into customer management and sales operations in order to identify development opportunities related to capacities, competencies, tools, and processes for the sales force.
  • Coordinate with Cluster L&D teams to ensure flawless execution of learning plans through integration and collaboration across stakeholders; maintain comprehensive records including coaching reports, performance reviews, consultancy notes, role-play evaluations, optimisation plans.
  • Serve as the Market Point of Contact for Learning and Development regarding sales capabilities evaluation; propose development opportunities and drive initiatives aimed at enhancing sales competencies towards a high-performing culture.
  • Own the measurement of capability building effectiveness by tracking adoption rates, behaviour change metrics in field execution, continuously improving training impact based on data-driven insights.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication between HR partners and business units to ensure stakeholder alignment on learning objectives; provide actionable recommendations based on performance reviews.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying new technologies or systems that can enhance learning delivery or sales capability assessment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management is required; a Master’s degree is preferred for candidates seeking advanced responsibility.
  • At least five years’ experience in Sales Operations or Management combined with three years’ experience in Training roles ideally within pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability in customer/account management coupled with proven stakeholder engagement skills enabling effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Track record of driving organisational change through continuous improvement initiatives alongside successful project execution within complex environments.
  • Exceptional facilitation skills allowing you to deliver engaging training sessions supported by strong problem-solving capabilities that address real-world challenges faced by sales teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English enabling you to present clear actionable recommendations both verbally and in written form across diverse audiences.
