IT Operations Engineer

This position is responsible for owning and managing the organization’s IT infrastructure and cyber security landscape across on‑premise and Microsoft Azure environments. The role ensures system stability, security compliance, data protection, and cost‑effective technology operations aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 (ISMS)

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Network Management

• Design, operate, and maintain enterprise network environments including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, and Internet connectivity.
• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and secure segmentation of networks.
• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and secure connectivity between on‑premise and Azure platforms.
• Lead infrastructure enhancement projects such as network upgrades and cloud connectivity expansion.

Server & Cloud Platforms

• Manage on‑premise servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
• Operate Microsoft Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, networking, identity integration, and monitoring.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and high‑availability design.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Define and operate backup and disaster recovery strategies for on‑premise, cloud, and Microsoft 365 workloads.
• Enforce 3‑2‑1 backup principles and ransomware‑resilient backup architectures.
• Conduct regular recovery testing and maintain DR documentation.

Cyber Security & Governance

• Establish and operate a cybersecurity framework aligned with ISO/IEC 27001.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats using centralized security tools and threat intelligence.
• Manage security technologies, including firewall, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability management solutions.
• Maintain incident response procedures, conduct root cause analysis, and support security testing activities.

Microsoft 365 & Identity Security

• Manage identity and access controls via Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including MFA, Conditional Access, and PIM.
• Implement Microsoft 365 security controls such as Defender, DLP, and Information Protection.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Data & IP Protection

• Protect critical business data and intellectual property through data classification, access control, encryption, and RMS.
• Govern secure data sharing across collaboration platforms and external partners.

Asset, Budget & Compliance Management

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets including hardware, software licenses, and subscriptions.
• Own infrastructure and security budgeting, cost optimization, and ROI analysis.
• Conduct IT and cyber security risk assessments and support internal/external audits.
• Maintain policies, procedures, and technical standards.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure and security environments (500+ users).
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and enterprise networking.
• Solid understanding of ISO/IEC 27001 controls and cyber security risk management.
• Proven capability in budget ownership, vendor management, and stakeholder communication.
