IT Department Head (Automotive Software)

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a high-performing Automotive Engineering business unit focused on ADAS, SDV, and Vehicle Computing solutions.
• Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale engineering programs, ensuring quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
• Drive business growth, portfolio management, financial planning, and profitability across multiple strategic accounts.
• Define and execute department strategy, roadmap, and organizational objectives aligned with global business priorities.
• Build, mentor, and develop leadership teams, program managers, and engineering talent to support long-term capability growth.
• Establish scalable governance, delivery processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen execution efficiency and innovation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in automotive, embedded systems, software engineering, or product development environments.
• Proven track record managing large-scale engineering organizations and complex global delivery programs.
• Strong business acumen with experience managing sizeable portfolios, P&L ownership, and customer engagement.
• Hands-on exposure to ADAS, SDV, Vehicle Computing, or next-generation automotive software domains.
• Experience working within multinational or matrix organizations; PMP, PgMP, Agile, or related certifications are advantageous.
• Vietnamese native with business English communication skills
