Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (RTE)

We are seeking a senior Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead multi-team Agile delivery streams within complex IT and Banking environments. You will act as a program-level orchestrator, driving Program Increment (PI) planning, resolving enterprise dependencies, and mitigating release risks. This role requires 8+ years of PM experience, strong Scaled Agile expertise, and exposure to Cloud/Microservices initiatives.

About the Role

The Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (RTE) plays a critical role in coordinating multi-team release streams, removing operational blockers, and driving business outcomes using Agile methodologies. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and leadership to foster continuous improvement and alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scaled Agile Execution: Facilitate program-level Agile processes, organize Program Increment (PI) planning, and align delivery schedules across cross-functional engineering teams.

• Dependency & Risk Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate cross-team dependencies, technical risks, and execution blockers.

• Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration: Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and third-party vendors to maintain priority alignment and continuous value delivery.

• Governance & Metrics: Monitor release health, track velocity and financial/budget metrics, and present status reports to senior leadership with full transparency.

• Agile Coaching: Mentor teams and leaders on Agile practices, fostering a culture of teamwork, transparency, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 8+ years of IT Project/Program Management experience, preferably within the Banking / Financial Services domain.

• Agile Expertise: Proven track record in Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, and managing complex multi-team release trains.

• Technical Exposure: Solid understanding of Web applications, Cloud platforms, and Microservices architectures.

• Governance & Core Skills: Strong capabilities in risk/issue management, financial tracking, strategic planning, and senior stakeholder management.

• Education & Certifications: Degree in Computer Science or related technical field. PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe RTE certification is highly advantageous.
