Enterprise Security Architect (Mid-Level)
An exciting opportunity for a Medior Enterprise Security Architect to shape the security posture of a global enterprise. You will collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to review architecture submissions, govern security exceptions, and establish reusable design patterns. Ideal for an experienced security engineer or specialist looking to transition into a full architectural governance role.
The Enterprise Security Architect (Mid-Level) defines, maintains, and operationalizes architecture for security services and security solutions across the global organization. This role translates security policy and principles into practical security design patterns, guardrails, and approval criteria applied consistently across regions and business units.
Acting as a key security authority, you will review, challenge, and approve designs produced by Cloud & Infrastructure, Applications, Data & Analytics, OT, and engineering teams. You will ensure alignment with global security standards, guardrails, and risk decisions while working closely with a senior architecture counterpart during the transition period.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Security Architecture Definition & Maintenance

Define and maintain architecture for security services and security solutions across the enterprise.

Develop practical security design patterns, standards interpretations, and guardrails for regional and local execution.

Document security architecture decisions, reusable patterns, and design guidance clearly.

Establish a coherent set of security architecture patterns and guardrails adopted across projects globally.
2. Security Design Review & Approval

Review, challenge, and approve technical designs submitted by Cloud & Infra, Applications, Data & Analytics, OT, and engineering teams from a security perspective.

Provide structured security feedback to align peer-team designs with global standards.

Prepare security architecture review materials and support Architecture Review Board decisions and follow-ups.
3. Security Service Catalog & Exception Governance

Contribute to the security service catalog and define clear business, functional, and technical ownership.

Support governance of security exceptions, compensating controls, and remediation commitments.

Maintain security architecture KPIs and inputs for the central security dashboard.
4. Cross-Team Collaboration & Field Enablement

Collaborate with regional security specialists to deliver practical security implementation guidance and knowledge transfer.

Understand enterprise platforms, organization priorities, and delivery models to apply security guidance in a business-relevant manner.

Align with the Enterprise Architect and IT leadership on shared platforms and governance.
5. Professional Growth & Transition Support

Learn actively from a senior architecture counterpart during the onboarding transition period.

Continuously build knowledge in security architecture, secure design principles, and stakeholder management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Certifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.

Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, TOGAF, or SABSA are a strong advantage.
Experience:
-
3 to 5 years of experience in security architecture, security engineering, security solution design, or closely related technical roles across IT and Cloud (OT experience is a plus).

Proven experience translating security policies or standards into practical technical guardrails, patterns, or implementation guidance.

Hands-on experience reviewing technical designs across Cloud & Infrastructure, Applications, Data, and Analytics.

Solid working knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM), network segmentation, secure remote access, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and DevSecOps principles.

Familiarity with exception handling, architecture documentation, and security governance processes.
Competencies & Languages:

Strong security review mindset and the ability to assess peer-team designs objectively.

Structured, clear documentation and architectural artefact creation skills.

Excellent stakeholder management skills across global, regional, and local technical teams.

High learning agility and open to feedback and structured coaching.

Fluency in English (CEFR B2+) is mandatory for daily collaboration with global teams.
