Detailed Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership: Lead multiple Agile Engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale digital products and platforms. Build and develop high-performing Engineering Managers and technical leaders.

• Strategy & Modernization: Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with business objectives. Drive engineering excellence across software architecture, cloud adoption, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and platform modernization.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Business leaders to translate strategic initiatives into successful technology delivery. Collaborate with regional and global technology leadership teams to ensure alignment across distributed organizations.

• Governance & Operations: Oversee engineering governance, software quality, production stability, and operational excellence. Manage engineering budgets, workforce planning, and vendor engagement where required.

Requirements

Essential Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Technology, or Digital Platform delivery.

• Scale: Proven experience leading large engineering organizations, including multiple Engineering Managers and teams of 100+ engineers.

• Technical Domain: Strong background in enterprise software development, digital platforms, or large-scale technology transformation. Deep understanding of Agile delivery, SDLC, cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and DevSecOps environments.

• Regulated Environments: Demonstrated experience delivering complex distributed systems within Banking, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industries.

Leadership Competencies

• Strong strategic leadership with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.

• Excellent people leadership, talent development capabilities, and experience managing geographically distributed teams.

• Strong commercial awareness, decision-making skills, and the ability to balance technology strategy with delivery execution.

Language Proficiency

• Advanced English (Mandatory): CEFR C1 or equivalent business fluency. You will lead technical discussions, present architectural recommendations, and write high-quality technical documentation entirely in English while collaborating daily with multicultural teams across different time zones.

Preferred Background

We welcome candidates currently holding titles such as:

• Head of Engineering / Engineering Director / Senior Engineering Manager

• Director of Software Engineering / Technology Director

• Digital Engineering Lead / Platform Engineering Manager

• Experience gained within Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or other enterprise-scale technology environments will be highly regarded.
