Senior ALM / PLM Tools Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior ALM / PLM Tools Engineer in Ho Chi Minh City to drive the standardization and optimization of requirements management. In this hybrid role (3 days onsite), you will administer enterprise-level tools like Polarion, Jama, or DOORS, integrate systems into DevOps workflows, and support engineering teams in aSPICE-compliant environments. Our client is seeking a Senior ALM / PLM Tools Engineer to drive the standardization and optimization of requirements management workflows. In this role, you will take ownership of system administration, tool integration, and cross-functional engineering support within a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tool Administration: Administer and maintain core ALM/PLM tools such as Polarion, Jama, 3DS, R4J, or similar enterprise solutions.

• Architecture & Optimization: Continuously optimize tool performance, architecture, and configuration to match evolving project requirements.

• DevOps Integration: Seamlessly integrate requirements management tools into existing CI/CD and DevOps workflows.

• Traceability & Reporting: Develop robust end-to-end traceability matrices and customized reporting solutions.

• Consulting & Support: Advise engineering teams on tool selection, custom configurations, and industry best practices.

• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all tool configurations and workflows remain strictly compliant with automotive/embedded standards such as aSPICE.

• Training & Enablement: Deliver structured training sessions and documentation to ensure smooth onboarding and tool adoption across engineering teams.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Tooling Expertise: Proven experience with major ALM/PLM environments (e.g., Polarion, Jama, DOORS, Codebeamer).

• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with tool configuration, customization, and scripting languages like SQL and JavaScript.

• Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern DevOps practices.

• Industry Experience: Background in automotive or embedded systems engineering is highly beneficial.

• Compliance: Familiarity with aSPICE or equivalent functional safety/quality standards is a strong plus.

• Communication: Strong English communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
