Senior Engineering Manager / Platform Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact platform engineering organization responsible for building and operating large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern data-intensive services used across multiple products and business functions.

Engineering Leadership
- Build, lead, and grow high-performing engineering teams.
- Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
- Develop engineering managers, technical leads, and senior engineers.
- Establish strong engineering culture and execution standards.

Platform & Technical Strategy
- Own platform roadmap and engineering strategy.
- Guide architecture and design decisions.
- Improve scalability, reliability, security, and developer productivity.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices and automation.

Product & Delivery Execution
- Lead quarterly planning and roadmap execution.
- Define engineering goals and success metrics.
- Ensure predictable and high-quality delivery.
- Balance technical investments with business priorities.

Operational Excellence
- Drive availability, observability, reliability, and incident management.
- Lead capacity planning and cost optimization.
- Improve service quality through automation and platform improvements.

Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, Infrastructure, Security, Analytics, and Business teams.
- Communicate technical strategy to senior leadership.
- Align engineering priorities with organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of engineering management experience.
- Experience building and scaling engineering organizations.
- Experience leading medium-to-large engineering teams.
- Strong background in distributed systems and scalable architectures.
- Experience delivering platform or infrastructure products.
- Proven roadmap ownership and execution capability.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Platform & Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, Internal Developer Platforms
- Data & Streaming: Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, CDC, Event-driven Architecture, Data Platform Engineering
- Modern Engineering: AI-assisted Engineering, Agentic Systems, Engineering Productivity Platforms, Workflow Automation
